Description
This was just something I doodled while procrastinating from writing an essay on the Iliad in my first year at Uni. It began as a study of a moulded bronze breastplate, but I decided to give it a head and it became Achilles, complete with Corinthian helmet ready to be pulled down when he goes into battle. I never got round to giving him legs (and I'm not so great at legs anyway!) and i toyed with the idea of making him carry old Pelion (his spear) but i got bored with the bottom half.
I am still working on this sketch, and will post an updated version- with legs!- soon.

Hey Kallithrix! Nice drawing of Achilles you've got here I find it interesting that you portrayed him with a beard and with dark hair- it is a nice touch. My only critique would be that I find his skirt (is this the approriate term?) to short, but I like this pic overall. I like the shading and how you managed to mold his armor.
Keep it up!
